Administrative Assistant – Referee’s

 Job Description

 Overview:

The Referee’s Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the administration of the Referee’s programme (Grassroots and Elite) within the Grassroots Department and will provide general administrative support to the Club and League Development Manager.  He/she will have responsibility for servicing the FAI Referees National Committee and Regional Committees as well as responding to queries from the general refereeing fraternity and FAI affiliated leagues.  In addition, the successful candidate will also provide logistical support to the delivery of referee education at grassroots and elite levels. He/she will also have responsibility for data entry to the FAI CRM, the logging income and expenditure and for updating the Referee’s page on the FAI website. Furthermore, he/she will work closely with the Club and League Development Manager and will assist in all aspects of the Club & League Department including the Irish Football National Draw.

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have

  • Third level qualification in Business Studies / Administration / Sports Management
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to manage data, analyse, compile, generate and distribute reports
  • Computer literacy with a thorough knowledge of MS Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills to be demonstrated through contact with key internal and external stakeholders including referees, observers, tutors and service providers
  • Customer focus and be driven
  • Flexibility according to seasonal demands
  • Attention to detail and an ability to work on own initiative

 The Role:

Reporting to the Club and League Development Manager, the Administrator will be responsible for the administration of the following key areas of in the Referee Programme:

  • Conduct general administration of the referee’s programme to a high standard
  • Maintain calendar, schedules and course dates for the education programme
  • Minute taking at meetings
  • Development and maintenance of an effective data management system
  • Maintaining essential contact information
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Any other such duties as assigned by the Referee Programme National Coordinator
  • Management elite referee monthly expenses
  • Maintain the referee website with relevant up to date content

 

The other half of this role involves providing administrative support to the Club and League Development Manager.  This includes:

  • Administrative management of the Irish Football National Draw
  • Develop documentation as required (e.g. training, promotional, etc).
  • On-going communication with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake all general administration to support the programme
  • Creation and maintenance of key databases
  • Taking and responding to calls/emails from the public & stakeholders
  • Assist in the management of all events (promotional, training, etc.) associated with the Department
  • Assist the Club and League Development Manager on various other aspects of the programme as necessary

Salary €24,000 per annum
