Congratulations Ross
Congratulations to Ross Treacy from Parkvilla who this week was signed for Swansea City. Ross had just completed his apprenticeship with the club and having finished the stint was offered a full time contract.
Ross joined Parkvilla as a six year old playing in the NECSL coaching leagues at the MDL. Even at a young age he showed a talent for goals. As he progressed on to the grass, he quickly established himself as a superb goalie and was picked for many NECSL teams.
His progress was noted by the Irish management team and was selected to travel to Qatar for an international tournament in 2012. He joined Dublin club St. Kevin’s Boy’s when he was fifteen after nine years with Parkvilla.
It’s fantastic to see a player progress from grass roots to professional levels and it is also a credit to his coaches in Parkvilla. Well done Ross and all the best with Swansea City this year.
