Fantastic Day for Girls Football in the MDL today

The NECSL in conjunction with the North East Womens Regional Committee welcomed the FIFA Live your Goals to the MDL today.  With 8 different zones, the girls got the opportunity to experience many different aspects of the game in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

All our young Volunteers today had returned to their roots with all of them having played Gaynor Cup Football for the Region over the years.  Leanne Kiernan and Lynn Craven from the Womens National Team wowed the girls in attendance with their skills and had loads of time at the end to sign t-shirts, pose for photo’s and give all the girls memorabilia.

NECSL ETP Coaches Karen Byrne, Ciara Hanson, Jennnifer Hegarty & Katie Emmet along with the Girls from Kentstown Rovers Alison O’Sullivan, Eva Foley, Aisling Flynn, Niamh O’Sullivan & Beibhinn Hickey and their coach Vinny Moore inspired all the girls in creating a positive experience for all.

A special thanks to the co-ordinators on the day, Emma Martin & Barry Ferguson from the FAI and  Sandra McAuley from the NECSL.
