NECSL U12’s V Cavan/Monaghan UL

NECSL 3 – Cavan/Monaghan 1.

On what was a sunny 🌞 but Blustery 🌬afternoon, our U12’s on the back of a well-earned draw with the NDSL four weeks ago went that extra mile in what was only their 2nd game together and came out with a fantastic win.

It took a while for both teams to find their feet, NECSL keeping CMUL in their own half for long periods of 🕰 in the first 15 minutes but some great passing movement in the middle of the field by Rhys Callan and Ben O’Toole that played the ball through to Conn Brennen, hitting a fine strike into the back of the net ⚽️, putting the NECSL 1 nil up,

With a re-shuffle of the team and some fresh leg’s on the pitch, the NECSL got their 2nd ⚽️ when Harry McGuirk scored into an empty net, 2 nil up, CMUL got one back, but shortly after Conn Brennen got his 2nd ⚽️ and the NECSL’s 3rd ⚽️⚽️⚽️ to finish the game off for the home side,

This was a great team performance by all the 2009 NECSL Squad.
