Passing of our colleague Mr Eddie Higgins RIP

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our Secretary of the NERL Mr Eddie Higgins has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. His loss will be deeply felt within the footballing society and local community.

His kindness and integrity were evident to everyone who knew him. I’m like many others are grateful to have known Eddie not only as a colleague but a true friend. Eddie contributions and work ethic have made a significant and meaningful difference to the football community his memory will remain strong.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Bernie, his sons Dean and Nathan, daughters-in-laws and grandchildren, friends, and all who were touched by his life.

Eddie

Go Rest High on that Mountain.

Your work here on earth is done.

Go rest now with the holy and father and his son.

May eternal light shine upon him, and may his spirit continue to guide those he touched.
